3 Generations of Always Something Special
When Howard Unger started as a “trunk jobber”, distributing jewelry out of his basement, he had no idea that what he was really starting was a multi-generational fashion jewelry business that would become an industry leader. His entrepreneurial spirit quickly turned his side business into a family affair for over six decades. Howard went on to be one of the founding members of the Minneapolis Mart in 1975 putting Minneapolis on the map as a wholesale merchandising hub.
Fast forward 64 years, Howard’s is still bringing the latest and greatest in fashion each season. Growing to over 30 employees and a 20,000 square foot facility in Chanhassen MN, Howard’s has expanded their business and their focus. Recently under new ownership, Howard Unger’s grandson David and his wife Melissa are excited to keep the same cornerstones of Howard’s as we know it, while introducing new up and coming lines. One thing is for sure, Howard’s will Always be Something Special.
